K1 Zone

Under the Master Plan Delhi – 2021, K -1 zone will be constructed in West and South-West Delhi. The government has future plans for the underdeveloped regions of this zone. The reason why the government has planned to develop this area with other zone is because this contains numerous villages and unauthorized colonies. The government as well as the people of Delhi wants Delhi to become one of the most developed cities of the world and thus big steps have been taken to give that a kick start.

K-1 zone gives the opportunity to everyone to become a part of a greater good. The government is planning to authorise and regularise the 180 unauthorized developments in this zone. It will also urbanize a total of 26 villages so that the people living there can gain a new level of social as well as financial status. This zone consist of only one planned scheme known as Lok Nayak Puram in 80 ha, made by DDA. Thus, the developmental plans of Master Plan Delhi 2021 regarding this zone is of utmost importance.

The residential planning of K-1 zone is such that it will accommodate around 12 lacs people in the coming years. Many big builders are going to invest in K-1 zone, hence in the coming years it will become one of the most advanced townships of Delhi due to land pooling policy. Apart from getting 3464 Ha. for residential planning, this zone will see the advancement in many other sectors as well. For the optimised use of land in diverse sectors old age homes, night shelters, road extensions and many such developments would be done by both the government as well as the private builders. There will be many new employment opportunities as well for the people.
